The four tennis prodigies are now in full preparations for the upcoming tennis-fest – known as “the countdown to the showdown” – and tennis fans across the region are checking for updates and news on all channels from Facebook to Twitter to television. Lendl beat McEnroe in the 1983 Masters Final but McEnroe won consecutive finals against Lendl in 1984 and 1985. The rivarlies between these four guys still simmers, albeit in mellower fashion, but the tennis will still take your breath away. BNP Paribas Showdown Tickets Selling in New York

He won his first Grand Slam aged just 19, winning 13 more until his last one at age 32. The attention soon became for his tennis playing skills, not his flamboyant sense of on-court style though. Most shockingly, it turned out that his magnificent mullet was in fact a wig! Once the hair was gone, Agassi sported a bald head, but it didn’t stop him going on and on to more tennis triumphs, including fifteen Grand Slam final appearances. His seventeen ATP Masters Series tournaments was a world record between 2004 and 2010, and he was the last American to win the French Open.
